In My Own Words: Holly McPhee appears to have a perfect life - a loving husband, two step-children who seem to have it together, and an admirable position as a magistrate in the Australian courts system. By night, however, McPhee is the inducer of a grand scheme of crimes - crimes that become more risky and violent after she encounters Jin Okazaki, a Japanese VIP with questionable motives.
Crime Broker is a "B" movie well worth watching if you're a fan of sleazy magistrates or, well, Richard Roxburgh. Otherwise, the plot and execution fall short of really compelling the viewer.

Jacqueline Bisset (Holly McPhee)
Masaya Kato (Jin Okazaki)

The Roxburgh Rating: Roxburgh so rarely plays "The Good Guy" that the novelty of that fact alone makes Crime Broker a flick to put on any RR Fan's "To See" list.
Twenty points simply for playing with the good guys; twelve points for being the good guys' "go-getter"; thirty points for that sexy smile and little-boy adorableness; minus twenty points for an ending that I won't give away. Total: 42.
