In My Own Words: Thank God He Met Lizzie is not outright comedy. Is there a genre, instead, for "wit"? Said wit may come from the fact that this is truly a story about a man, written and directed by women. In any case, it is no surprise that each of the three main characters have since gone on to achieve international celebrity status. This comparatively low-budget film deserves each of the good reviews it has received, and defies the bad. "Thank god" The Wedding Party was released in the U.S.

The Roxburgh Rating: How rare and welcome it is to see Roxburgh in the handsome, leading man role! Defying his largely villainous resumé, Richard Roxburgh here proves that there's so much more to love than just the bad guy within.
Forty points for sheer adorableness; twenty points for depicting the trials of both youth and age; fifteen points for character realism. Subtotal: 75
Bonus points given for rejuvenating the spirit of Christmas: 50. Total: 125
