Mission: Impossible 2 Review by Lesley a.k.a. DraccyBride

Ethan Hunt(Tom Cruise) is the best secret agent anywhere from Chicago to Hong Kong. He learns that Sean Ambrose, a man who substituted for Ethan when he wasn't reachable in missions, has stolen a virus called "Chimera" and threatens to use it as Bio-warfare for a vast sum of money by bribing the C.E.O. of the company that invented it. Ethan is to persuade Nyah Nordoff-Hall to join their team to take the "Chimera" from Sean, because she and Sean were former lovers. She agrees through hard persuasion and when she is undercover acting as if she really wants him back, our man makes first appearance as Hugh Stamp the little head lackey of Sean. Hugh Stamp (Richard Roxburgh)is completely suspitious of Nyah and is ill-treated by Sean for his suspicions. When Ethan and his group try to destroy "Chimera" in the company building a battle wages on between Sean's men and Ethan. Nyah injects the final batch into herself to save Ethan, and so Sean can't kill her because she's the virus. Ethan attacks Sean and his men when they are making their bargain and Ethan is victorious, saving Nyah and all the citizens of Sydney and the world. Yet another Mission: Impossible, is possible.

In my own words I think this movie has main relationship flaws for sexual attraction, but hey, can't blame her. It excels in violence and extreme action. Trust John Woo to sweep you off your feet if you're a true fan of action movies. There are few Rox moments, but I'd have to say it's fun while it lasts. He puts on a great show as a lackey, instead of a main villian. I have to look away when Dougray Scott (Sean Ambross) snips the top of his pinky finger off, it kills me. But when he dies, it gets me watery in the eyes. Though he wasn't in it long he still was great and his death is extremely symphathetic... I won't tell you why or how, you have to see it for yourself. Lastly, did I mention that Rox has an extremely attractive run? That right there and saying "Not exactly, Sport" earns a good point on its own.

Score: 3.5/5.
